Vegetarian Diet
November 1, 2021

Our dietary habits have a significant impact on the emission of greenhouse gases and climate change. The greenhouse gas emissions from the global livestock industry surpass those from all cars, trains, planes, and ships combined. A vegetarian diet has a carbon footprint of just 1.7 tons CO2e whereas the carbon footprint of a meat eater is twice as much.  Naturally, switching from a meat-heavy diet to a vegan or vegetarian diet is of utmost priority due to climate change.

KDA also operates with the core belief of Sanatan Hindu Dharma that the divine exists in all living beings, both human and non-human, and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the whole world is one family. Keeping this principle at the forefront, the Vegetarian lifestyle is practiced and followed in all embassies of KAILASA.
